Privacy policy

To run Valanchal we collect only what we need: your email address and password (stored securely) when you create an account; your name, email, and message when you use the contact form; and basic technical information (such as device type) that helps the site work properly.

Book checkout happens on Gumroad, so Valanchal never sees, stores, or processes your card or payment details. We do not buy or sell personal data, and we do not send marketing emails you did not ask for.

We use your information to run your account, deliver the service you asked for, answer your messages, and keep Valanchal safe and working. Nothing more.

Your data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, which protects data in transit and at rest. Passwords are never stored in readable form.

We share your information only when the service requires it: with Supabase to store it, and with Gumroad when you choose to buy a book (their own privacy policy applies to that checkout). We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you — just use the Contact page. Deleting your account removes your account data from our systems.

Valanchal remembers which tab you chose last time using your browser's local storage, authentication uses secure session cookies, and your language choice is remembered in a cookie. That is all — no tracking or advertising cookies.

Valanchal is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian.

We may update this policy as Valanchal grows — for example when the community, marketplace, and live video arrive. The newest version will always be posted on this page.
